The purpose of this weeks blog is twofold, one I wanted to feature an amazing vendor, and the second and most important purpose, is to give thanks to someone that has given me more than she’ll ever know. A little less than a year ago, I had burning desire to create a French Garden inspiration shoot. I searched high and low for the right stylist, but often the answer is right in front of you. Eileen was reluctant at first, but after about two minutes, she hit the ground running and brought together a shoot that I still can’t stop looking at today. She was in charge of the concept, but she also designed fun jars of honey, a gorgeous handmade guest book, lavendar seed packets/favors, and created the design for our beautiful sign. Her creative flame was reignited, and LazaFlair was born. To call her creative and multi-talented would be an understatement. But actually, the thing I admire most is her charisma and ability to give so much of herself to others. I can honestly say, without a shadow of a doubt, I would not be where I am today without her. It started when I took her health class my junior year in high school. I was already excited because she had the reputation as the coolest teacher on campus, but also because she was a wedding and portrait photographer. Pretty soon I started assisting her at weddings, and to this day she has been the greatest critic of my work. She will be the first one to tell me if something is misspelled on my blog, and I always consult her with any big changes I make to my business. I might be a goofy/cheesy photographer with a terrible website/brand if it wasn’t for her brutal honesty over the last 8 years. I’d love to say she’s a great friend, but she’s much more than that, more like a second mom.
The first two images are Eileen’s design and creation from an unpublished Southern Inspiration Shoot, the images following are from the French Garden Inspiration Shoot I mentioned above
