My Story

My love for photography began in high school, and I am so blessed to have never known another career. The wild landscape, whimsy, and adventure have always been a constant source of inspiration. My journey began on film, and it continues to be my medium of choice. Nothing excites me quite like the joyful emotion and energy of a wedding day. I thrive on that energy, and I always love a good party! I will dance at your wedding to old school hip hop!

Over the past 8 years I’ve had the privilege to be a part of so many wonderful celebrations and through the wedding industry I found my lovely wife Ashley. As a newlywed myself, my passion for weddings and especially marriage has increased ten fold.

I have been published in national print magazines such as Southern Weddings Magazine, Weddings Unveiled Magazine, The Celebration Society, Southern Living, The Knot, and Brides Magazine. As well as featured regularly online by Style Me Pretty, Ruffled Blog, and Grey Likes Weddings.

When I’m not hiking in the rugged backcountry or enjoying a glass of single malt scotch, you can find me dancing with my incredibly fun wife in our kitchen in Tampa, Florida.

Vision

I believe in finding beauty in simplicity; the essence and emotions of your wedding should be captured with an authentic and natural aesthetic. I believe in a candid approach that allows my clients to be themselves and forget they are being photographed. While trends and styles change, I have a keen awareness of the responsibility I have to present a timeless and tangible set of images that will ultimately become a family heirloom. I believe the strength of photographs lie in their ability to depict truth, so I strive to capture authentic moments with attention to detail, while artfully and faithfully rendering the unique and subtle nuances of your story. Above all, I believe in the beauty of the covenant of marriage. This ideal is shared and so eloquently stated by Southern Weddings Magazine –

“I want a marriage even more beautiful than my wedding”.

When I look for an inspiring marriage, I look to this image of my grandparents who have been married for 67 years.
